Update: The time has come for us to close the gate at Alpacas of Somerset Farm. Beginning April 1, 2026 we will no longer be offering ranch tours. After 20 years of being part of the alpaca community and sharing our lifestyle with others, we are closing Alpacas of Somerset Farm. Our remaining herd will be moving on to their new home soon. We have purchased a house in Kentucky and are moving on to new adventures. We greatly appreciate the friends, family, neighbors and visitors who have supported the activities at our ranch over the past 20 years. We also appreciate those who selected alpacas from our herd. Who trusted our mentorship. And who went on to become friends, not just clients.
We are a full-time, full-service alpaca ranch located in the heart of the southern El Dorado County, California wine country. We offer ranch tours, alpaca sales, and herdsire services. Educators by profession we specialize in mentoring, educating and supporting prospective, new and existing alpaca owners.
