~About Us~

We are nurturers by nature and appreciate the opportunities to do what we like to do most...educate, mentor, and support. We have received so much help, support, and mentoring from those who have been there for us and we welcome the opportunity to "Pay It Forward”.

In your search for information you will come in contact with many alpaca breeders: offering exceptional service....many of us do;  offering exceptional alpacas at a good value...many of us have them; eager to help you get started in the alpaca business...most of us are.

We understand that long-term success in this business is about creating relationships.  If you don’t totally understand that now, you will.  You will look for someone easy to talk to, who understands where you are coming from, who is seriously interested in your success, and who you trust.  Of course we hope you will feel that way about us.

Investing in alpacas is not for everyone.  However, if you have ever thought about exploring the possibilities, we invite you to give us a call.  Better yet, we invite you to come by the ranch for a visit.

We will not attempt to convince or persuade you that the alpaca lifestyle is for you.  Your heart will answer that question for you.  What we do promise is you will receive straight talk and honest answers.

About Dianna

Dianna has been around pets and livestock her entire life. Horses consumed most of her time as a young girl and teenager. She shared this interest with her daughter as she was growing up.

Dianna spent over 17 years in Training and Organizational Development for a privately held corporation. Her primary focus was on “Soft Skill Development” for management and non-management employees. Dianna is also a “Life Coach” for individuals interested in enhancing their lives through personal growth and development.

Dianna gladly gave up the daily grind of the corporate world to become the ranch manager for Alpacas of Somerset Farm.

About Jack

Unlike Dianna’s childhood experiences with animals, Jack had one dog while growing up. Through the years he has discovered the joys of having an ever-changing menagerie in his life.

The skills and talents Jack brings to the business are many--including his education in Business Administration and Marketing.

Jack is a high school woodshop teacher and truly enjoys passing on those vocational skills to his students. The building skills certainly come in handy when planning and building alpaca facilities!
